T5W: Books You Want to Read Before 2019

Hello! Today I’m doing today’s topic for top 5 wednesday. The topic for today is books you want to read before 2019. I’ve done a post similar to this but I know I’m not going to get to them because they are fantasy and I’m in a fantasy slump at the moment. But I made a new list of books that I’m super excited about.

Leah on the Offbeat by Becky Albertalli

I’ve been meaning to read this ever since it came out but I still haven’t read it. This is one I need to read before 2019. It’s a companion/sequel to Simon VS the Homosapiens Agenda which I read back in January and loved. This focuses on Simon’s best friend Leah. I’m super excited about it.

I Believe In A Thing Called Love by Maurene Goo

This is a contemporary about a Korean-American girl who uses K-Drama techniques to snag the boyfriend of her dreams. I love the concept of this book and I’m super excited to read it. I also own Maurene Goo’s other book which I also would like to get to.

Wild Beauty by Anna-Marie McLemore

This is a magical realism book that I heard nothing but amazing things about. I’ve heard so many people talk about how beautiful Anna-Marie’s writing is and hopefully I can read this before the end of the year.

Let’s Talk About Love by Claire Kann

This story is about a biromantic asexual black woman named Alice, in college, living with her two best friends who are dating, and working at a library where she meets Takumi, who changed her life forever. I’m super excited about this and I NEED to read it before 2019.

Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare

THIS IS MY MOST ANTICIPATED BOOK OF 2018. I’m so excited about this one and if I don’t read it when it comes out I’m going to be so disappointed in myself. This is the third and last book in the Dark Artifices trilogy and I NEED it like right now.

That was the top 5 books I want to read before 2019. What are some books you want to read before 2019.

Until next time

    1. Lady Midnight is SO good and I hope you enjoy it once you get to it! I reread all her books this year and I only need to read the last novella in the ghost of the Shadow Market novellas, haha!
